Rehearsal Notes January 8th 2025
Welcome to our Spring Season Choral Evolutioneers!
Doesn’t that sound hopeful? Spring Season? It’s been so relentlessly cold and rainy over the last few weeks. Its good to be reminded that long warm days are only weeks away. Let’s focus on that as we prepare our new and challenging Spring repertoire.
I want to take a moment and sum up our code of conduct. We all agree to these responsibilities as we start a new season.
We are all in this together, and that’s a wonderful thing!
- Come prepared to all rehearsals and commit to singing all the concerts. We count on you being there for us every week and we miss you when you are away.
- Learn your music, practice at home, use the practice tracks, attend sectionals.
- Don’t be selective: you have to learn, practice and commit to every tune even if they aren’t your favourite. We all have to sing the whole show.
- Bring your music, a pencil and your water bottle to each rehearsal.
- Be respectful of the process and your fellow singers by maintaining silence during rehearsals, put up your hand if you have a question and I will do my best to call on you.
We will begin reading through our new music in the following order this week:
Vincent
Big Yellow taxi
All the Diamonds
Paint it Black
Hair
We may have time to read through a few more.
I am excited to see you all Wednesday, January 8, 7:00pm - 9:15pm Rehearsal - Sooke (EMCS) band room. Location on the new map.
See you then!
André
