News 27 January 2025
Hey everyone, sorry for the lateness...work got in the way of getting this out in a timely manner.
By now everyone should have had an opportunity to listen or download the tracks, but if you are having trouble, please reach out to the choralevolution@gmail.com for help.
We will be recording attendance soon in books to ensure everyone has the assistance they need (if they are away) and to help us keep track of everyone. The button on the website takes you directly to the attendance email or you can email directly at attendance.ce2023@gmail.com to let us know of your absence. It is very important to attend rehearsals so as not to miss anything. To that end, Choral Evolution has purchased a recording device that will be set up at rehearsal (thanks, Paul!) and the files downloaded to the website for review. Even if you were present, they are good refreshers to what was covered.
Thank you to those who have offered to set up chairs: Tony and Thibault in Sooke and Kristin and Shawna in Langford. If people arrive early, it would be appreciated to lend a hand setting up. As always, everyone is expected to help clean up our chairs so that we all get out in good time. Thanks everyone!
There is a bit of a delay with the Spring 2025 roster of singers: it will be posted soon on the website; there were some corrections to be made but it will be up soon.
Keep rehearsing, as we are already starting to sound good. I was so impressed with Paint It Black last week, great job everyone. You can really tell that people are rehearsing on their own time. Section leaders/scribes should be reaching out to get sectionals started. These are a great way to rehears your part with like voices to ensure you have it solidly.
See you Wednesday in Langford
