CE News 22 Feb 2025
As I sit here writing, I'm listening to the wind blow strongly outside my window. Guess winter isn't quite done. But that means it is a good time to stay indoors and review our music. We have been over every piece now, and everyone has notes from Andre about the music. Take the time to listen to the tracks while reviewing your notes. If you are mostly comfortable with your part, try singing against the balanced voices, or against another part. It shows spots that need work. It is only when I use the balanced voices that I see parts that I'm not confident in so I know where to focus my efforts.
Sectionals are another great way to review; I encourage you to gather with like voices and rehearse.
We are back at Centre Mountain Lellum school this Wednesday at 7pm; hopefully there will be better parking! As a reminder, our first long rehearsal is coming quickly: March 8th from 9 until 1; We have one volunteer for goodies, anyone else willing to bring things? Check the calendar for location information. On that note, updates to the calendar will occur soon (thank you, Adriana and Diane) around the show dates/locations and the dress rehearsal information.
If you are not well and cannot attend a rehearsal, emailing your absence is very helpful in determining the size of a section for Andre. Use the button on the website which directs you to the email attendance.ce2023@gmail.com. This is the preferred email for absences.
Thank you to those that have reached out to friends and colleagues to purchase ad space in the program! We could use more space purchased, so please refer to the email sent previously with the information to encourage others to support the arts.
Keep working everyone, some of the songs are already starting to sound good!
