Choral Evolution is a dynamic, all-volunteer choir of 30–40 singers, established in 2020. Since its founding, the ensemble has presented a wide range of engaging and vibrant programs, warmly received by audiences in Sooke, Oak Bay, Colwood, and Langford.
Our repertoire is both diverse and eclectic, spanning contemporary favourites such as Hotel California (The Eagles), Viva la Vida (Coldplay), and Don’t Stop Me Now (Queen), alongside more reflective winter selections like Song for a Winter’s Night (Gordon Lightfoot) and January Hymn (Colin Meloy). We also enjoy surprising audiences with playful and unexpected pieces, including Wannabe (Spice Girls) and I Sing Because I’m Happy (Civilla Martin and Charles Gabriel). Our most recent program celebrated Canadian artists—from Gordon Lightfoot to Stan Rogers—paired with seasonal works inspired by winter.
This spring, our program will feature music by Queen, The Beach Boys, Spice Girls, Collective Soul, The Weeknd, and many more.
Choral Evolution embraces a broad spectrum of musical styles and continually seeks out fresh and exciting repertoire. We are proud to contribute to the vibrant performing arts and cultural community in our region.
This season’s concerts will take place on May 1st and 2nd.
We warmly invite you to support Choral Evolution as a program sponsor. As a sponsor, your business advertisement will be prominently featured in our Spring program.
